01Operator and agreement
These terms apply to LegalPath Android (com.legalpath.app) and legalpath.win, operated by BETTER SPA SERVICES LLC, 900 NE Butler Market Rd APT 67, Bend, OR 97701-8866, United States. Google Play developer: Hassan askari. Contact: [email protected]. Effective date: 10 October 2026. Read and acknowledge the terms and privacy policy in the App before registration or consultation; acknowledgement is local and is not recorded or checked by the backend. Shared platform accounts and services remain subject to their relevant rules. These terms do not replace a separate agreement with a lawyer or firm.
02Service scope
The App provides public case/profile browsing and one-to-one communication with lawyers. The website provides product, policy and support information; sample profiles/cases are illustrative, not a live directory or website consultation. Separate professional and restricted matter-status services have their own scope. The platform itself does not provide legal advice or representation, process payments or establish a professional engagement. It is not an emergency or court-filing service. For urgent matters or deadlines, contact an appropriate professional directly.
03Relationship with lawyers
Browsing or messaging does not by itself create an engagement or representation. Agree scope, fees, conflict checks and arrangements separately with the lawyer/firm; professional duties may still arise from law and the actual interaction. We do not guarantee responses, availability or outcomes. Profiles, past cases, reviews and translations do not guarantee suitability, jurisdiction-specific qualifications or future results, and are not personalised advice. Confidentiality and legal privilege depend on law and circumstances; applicable protections are not waived.
04Accounts and prohibited conduct
You must be at least 18 and have the capacity required by applicable law. Provide accurate information, protect passwords/codes and use only authorised accounts; professionals must stay within their roles. Do not publish or send unlawful, sexually exploitative, threatening, abusive, harassing, hateful, fraudulent or infringing content; malware or unsolicited promotions; impersonate others; bypass access controls; or collect records without authority. Share only necessary information you have the right to disclose. Use reporting and blocking controls for inappropriate interactions; abuse can lead to proportionate restrictions or suspension.
05Content and retention
You retain rights to your content and authorise the platform and necessary providers to process/transmit it for requested functions and lawful security/compliance purposes described in the Privacy Policy. Sending private material does not authorise public-case publication or unrelated advertising. Chat supports text, images and PDFs, with a 20 MiB per-file limit. It is not permanent storage. Hiding or account deletion does not retract messages or erase downloaded copies. See the Privacy Policy for cloud retention, caches, recipient copies and administrator access; preserve necessary records yourself where lawful.
06Restricted matter enquiries
Use only your authorised identity and email verification. The separate enquiry service displays limited records supplied by the responsible lawyer/firm, does not accept case materials or create/change representation, and is not a complete professional file, payment instruction, court deadline or guarantee of recovery. Ask the responsible professional about discrepancies.
07Reports, blocking and deletion
You can report a lawyer and block inappropriate interactions through consultation controls. Reports do not automatically remove a profile or end a consultation. We may proportionately restrict use for breaches, security, unauthorised access or legal requirements and explain restrictions and review options where appropriate and lawful. Contact [email protected]; professional complaints may also go to the relevant regulator. Request account deletion in the App or at https://legalpath.win/delete-account; we respond and begin handling within 48 hours of receipt. Deletion affects the shared account, is irreversible and does not cancel a separate engagement or erase legally retained professional records. See the Privacy Policy for verification, data cleanup and retention.
08Responsibility and disputes
We use reasonable care, but maintenance, networks and providers can affect service and delivery. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, excuses our own legally actionable conduct or removes mandatory consumer rights. Professional work and platform responsibilities must be assessed separately. Contact [email protected] about disputes. Applicable law and competent forums are determined by relevant legal rules and mandatory local protections; these terms do not impose exclusive foreign jurisdiction, mandatory arbitration or waiver of access to regulators or courts.
09Versions and language
Documents identify their version and effective date. App documents are bundled with each release; material revisions require an App update and local acknowledgement before affected use continues. No backend consent record is created. Website and App use the same source for a given version; older released versions remain available for reference. Updates do not rewrite a lawyer agreement. English is the website default, not an automatic override of translated versions or mandatory language rules. Country selection on the website does not change account settings or the applicable law.
